Peter Hales - Co-Founder & Principal

Peter is a founding Principal at Valcrest Capital Partners and is responsible for capital raising, financial management, and investor relations.

Prior to founding Valcrest Capital Partners, Peter served as the Chief Financial Officer of Ashland Greene Capital Partners, a multifamily private equity firm. 

Before joining Ashland Greene, Peter worked for 11 years on Wall Street at Morgan Stanley and UBS. A finance veteran with extensive deal experience, advising on billions of M&A, equity, and debt transactions for corporate and private equity clients, he culminated his investment banking career as the Co-Head of the Americas Power, Utilities, and Infrastructure Group at UBS.

Upon graduation from college, Peter served as a Surface Warfare Officer (Nuclear) for five years in the U.S. Navy. His tours of duty included stints on board a guided missile destroyer during Operation Iraqi Freedom and as a nuclear engineer aboard an aircraft carrier. 

Peter holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (magna cum laude), an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and is a graduate of the United States Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
